Take Your Time

Take your time is a 3-channel live video installation that challenges perceptions of time and reality. Each monitor represents different spaces in time - past, present, and future - in which one must walk down the aisle in order to be able to see themselves in the present. As one walks down the aisle, they are able to see glitches of themselves, being able to fully see their reflection unobstructed when arriving in front of the middle monitor. In doing so, they must be present and pay attention to the cues in order to manifest themselves on the present monitor. When looking left to the past, and right to the future, those versions of themselves are looking to the present, reminding one to pay attention to the current moment. The present monitor is the only monitor in which one is able to look directly at themselves.
